Self and reality. Symbol and language. Myth and image. Memory and consciousness. Dream and unreality.
All of these pairings act as influences and make their subtle presence throughout my work— from small portraits to corporate logos. My style continually meanders through many changes and influences, among them: Medieval Illuminations, German Expressionists, French Impressionists, Frans Masereel, Frida Kahlo, Gustav Klimt, Duncan Grant, Vanessa Bell, Max Beckman, Rene Magritte, and Mark Rothko. Obviously, with such a wide spectrum it remains difficult to define my graphic or artistic intentions, as necessary as these statements are.
